2005 Chevrolet 3500 SRW December 2004
I ordered the truck on October 15, 2004, build date was November 22, 2004, and it arrived at the dealership December 10, 2004. The truck has the following options:
I drove it to a sister dealership 10 miles away for installation of the running boards, so will pick it up next week. I am impressed with the comfortable, quiet cab and seats along with the firm but not harsh ride. Reports from other owners on fuel mileage, quality, and power were the deciding factors in buying a new Chevrolet pickup. The availability of the 3.73 rear axle ratio in the 3500 and the power drivers seat in the regular cab were also deciding factors. It is convenient that all the wiring for trailering and brake controls are already in place. Niceties such as engine hour meter, oil life monitor, 5th gear lockout, auto trans oil temp gauge, fuel mileage readout, and the 265-75-16E tires were certainly pluses. Leather seats would have been nice but were not available in a regular cab. Roof marker light are nice looking, but the night time glow on the hood bothered me on a previous truck. I decided I could switch them off if that is a problem with this truck. Dean Barker If you would like to see your diesel truck or SUV featured here, please contact The Diesel Page for the details.
